Nasal Therapy to Relieve Headaches
This healing method involves blowing or inhaling fine herbal powder into the nasal cavities, so that it works on the nasal membrane to treat diseases. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) claims that nasal therapy can dispel pathogens in the head, unblock the head orifices, refresh the mind and promote the flow of qi, harmonize the middle burner and dissipate its coldness, which are suitable for disorders of the ear, nose, eye or other head regions. Before the process, prepare a herbal powder according to individual condition, clean the nasal cavities with saline, then take 0.3 g of the powder, blow or spray into the nose. Blowing into the right cavity when headaches are in left side, blowing into the left cavity when headaches are in right side, for pain all over the head, blow into both nasal cavities. Remember to hold the breath temporarily during blowing or inhaling, which helps prevent the powder being inhaled into the airway. If conditions don’t improve or become worse after several trials, stop it immediately. Nasal therapy is often used during an acute attack of headache, below are the herbal remedies.
