Heart and Small Intestine Syndromes

The heart is located within the chest. Its main physiological functions are dominating the blood and vessels, controlling the spirit-mind and sweat secretion. External examination of the face and tongue are important for checking the condition of the heart. The heart meridian communicates with the small intestine meridian creating an exterior and interior relationship. The two organ systems influence each other closely.
