I have a confused question, pls bear with me, in zang fu theory, liver is yin in nature, if liver is yin in nature, how does it some times become yang deficient, the zang fu theory is different from this?

Yin and yang are relatively descriptions for objects, here liver functioning is comparing to other organs such as the lungs or the heart. For liver itself, it can be further divided into liver yin and yang.
The yin yang theory is used as a tool for binary classification of objects.
The zang fu theory is about the functioning of internal organs.
