Indications: Yin deficiencies of the kidney and liver that lead to soreness and weakness in the waist and knee regions, dizziness, blurred vision, ear ringing, diminished hearing, night sweats, emissions in men or late fontanel closure in children, a red tongue with little coating and the pulse is fine and rapid. Individuals may also have a variety of others like hot flushes, hot palms and soles, mouth dryness, toothache, frequent urination, feeling thirst or hunger easily. With appropriate modifications, modern TCM uses the formula in conditions like nervous debility, tuberculosis, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, Addison’s disease, chronic nephritis, chronic urinary tract infection, hypertension, optic neuritis, optic nerve atrophy, central retinitis, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and malnutrition in children.


主治：肝腎陰虛，表現腰膝酸軟，頭暈，目眩，耳鳴，耳聾，盜汗，遺精，以及小兒囱開不合，或者虛火上炎而致骨蒸潮熱，手足心熱，口燥咽乾，或消渴，或牙痛，舌紅少苔，脈細數。現代多用於神經衰弱、結核病、糖尿病、甲狀線機能亢進、何狄森氏病、慢性腎炎、慢性泌尿道感染、高血壓病、視神經炎、視神經萎縮、中心性視網膜炎、功能性子宮出血、小兒營養不良綜合症等，屬肝腎陰虛者。

主治：頭暈，目眩，視物模糊，眼乾澀或迎風流淚。用法同六味地黃丸，現代常用於高血壓、白內障、乾燥綜合症、神經衰弱等，有陰虛表現者。
